Program Learning Goals


1.      To provide the graduate with skills that are transferable to various roles in related employment fields.

2.      To educate students in concepts that include a higher understanding of the applications and uses of informatics in the health care sector.

3.      To educate students in concepts that include a higher understanding of concepts in leadership and information management.

4.      To educate students in concepts that include a higher understanding of concepts and applications in health care finance and revenue cycle management.

5.      To provide educational content that incorporates the competencies of the accrediting agency (CAHIIM) necessary to prepare students for gaining the professional credential if desired.

6.      To ensure through educational content that the schoolwide Learning Outcomes of the Rutgers School of Health Professions are met.
