Upon completion of the healthcare informatics graduate certificate program, graduates will be able to:

Use computers and information-handling tools for a wide range of professional
activities;

Identify information needs in one's own work environment, select appropriate off-the-shelf technological solutions, and make modifications necessary to accomplish both
generic and health specialty-related activities; and

Make strategic decisions about institutional policies and investments in: patient
care and treatment systems, patient management systems, human resources and cost
management systems, and professional education and training systems.
