Program Description


The clinical nutrition master's entry-level program is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in nutrition and dietetics in clinical practice, research, and community outreach. We prepare students through a combination of distance education, face-to-face learning, and innovative supervised experiential learning (SEL) to become registered dietitians providing patient and client-centered, interprofessional, and evidence-based nutrition care. It is a 42-credit program spanning 16 continuous months. As part of our hybrid program students come to our Newark campus during the months of March, June, and December for three-day workshops. There are two tracks for clinical work: New Jersey or a remote track for those more than 100 miles from campus. Upon graduation students are eligible to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration's credentialing exam.
