School of Criminal Justice 2019-2021 About the School of Criminal Justice Visiting Fellows Program

Visiting Fellows Program

With the generous assistance of the S.I. Newhouse Foundation and other sources, the School of Criminal Justice offers a Visiting Fellows Program that makes the resources of the Criminal Justice Library more widely available to criminal justice scholars. Funds are intended to support travel to Newark and any additional costs of accommodation for one or two visiting fellows each academic year. Since program funds cannot be used for salary support, visiting fellows are usually on leave from their own institutions.

Visiting fellows are expected to spend a semester at the Center for Law and Justice. They also are expected to produce a publishable report on work undertaken at the library that acknowledges the support provided through the Visiting Fellows Program. In view of the school's international outlook, foreign scholars in particular are encouraged to apply.
