Upper-level Rutgers undergraduate students may apply to the
chairperson of the Department of Library and Information Science or the
director of the master's program in communication and information
studies for permission to register for selected M.L.I.S. or M.C.I.S.
courses. Permission is based on the student's academic record and
professional and academic goals. Undergraduates may transfer credits
for M.L.I.S. or M.C.I.S. courses toward the M.L.I.S. or M.C.I.S. degree
if they are subsequently admitted to either program, provided such
credits were not used for their undergraduate degree. Students wishing
to make such transfers must register for E credit while in the
undergraduate unit.
