Awards for Graduating Students

Award for Academic Achievement

This award is presented to the master of science in business of fashion student who earns the highest cumulative GPA while in the program.

Beta Gamma Sigma Leadership Awards

Beta Gamma Sigma keys are awarded to those initiates who have not only an excellent scholastic record, but who have also given outstanding service to the school.   

Dean's Award
This merit-based award is granted to the students with high leadership potential and

academic achievement as demonstrated by undergraduate records, recommendations, and admissions tests.  

Dean's Excellence Award
This merit-based award is granted to international students by the dean of Rutgers Business School.


Director's Award
The masters of financial analysis program will give this award for the most outstanding contribution by a student to the program.

Director's Award of Excellence (M.Q.F.)

This award is presented to the master of quantitative finance student who the department feels went above and beyond to further the mission of the master of quantitative finance program.

Director's Award of Excellence (M.B.O.F.)

This award for leadership and academic excellence is presented to a master of science in business of fashion graduate who exemplifies the program's mission and vision.    

Doctor Rosa Oppenheim Leadership Award

This award honors Executive Vice Dean Dr. Rosa Oppenheim's extraordinary commitment to Rutgers Business School and the leadership she has exhibited throughout her career, including two stints as interim dean. This award recognizes a student who has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to positive leadership.

Dr. George S. Walters Consulting Excellence Award

This award was established in honor of Dr. S. George Walters, professor emeritus,who founded the Interfunctional Management Team Consulting Program in 1971. It is awarded annually to the Interfunctional Management Team with the highest academic achievement in the program.

Edmund L. Houston and Alfreda P.Robinson Award

This award is presented to the minority M.B.A. student with the highest academic achievement.

Lewis Kerman Business Expedition Award

This award is presented to the executive M.B.A. student who completes the most outstanding and most unique course project for the annual Executive M.B.A. International Trip.    

Marketing Research Insights and Analytics (M.R.I.A.) Advisory Board Achievement Award

This award is given annually by the Advisory Board to the M.R.I.A. student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement.

Pharmaceutical Management Program Editor's Award

This award is sponsored by a graduate of the Pharmaceutical Management M.B.A. program, who wishes to remain anonymous. It is given each year to a graduating M.B.A. student concentrating in Pharmaceutical Management. The student must have a 3.5 GPA upon completion of 45 credits and must have made a significant contribution to the Pharmaceutical Management M.B.A. program and the Pharmaceutical Management Club at Rutgers Business School. The award is based on nominations made by the director of the Pharmaceutical Management M.B.A. program and voted on by all Pharmaceutical Management students, the director of the M.B.A. program, and the director of the M.B.A. Office of Career Management.

Professor's Choice Award
This award is presented to a student who has exemplified leadership during their time in the master of quantitative finance program. The recipient is selected by a faculty vote.

Rutgers Business School Alumni Association Prize
M.B.A. Program
This award is given each year to the student who has shown the greatest achievement in both scholastic and extracurricular activities.

Rutgers Business School Finance Advisory Board Award
This award is made on behalf of the school's finance advisory board annually to an outstanding student in finance.

Rutgers Business School Marketing M.B.A. Achievement Award
This award is given annually by the Department of Marketing to one full-time and one Flex M.B.A. student who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in marketing.

Rutgers Business School Master of Quantitative Finance Highest Academic Achievement Award
This award recognizes the master of quantitative finance student who has achieved a 4.0 GPA.

Rutgers Business School Master of Quantitative Finance Scholastic Achievement Award
This award recognizes the master of quantitative finance students who have demonstrated scholastic achievement.

Rutgers Executive M.B.A. Leadership Award
The EMBA Class of 1994 is the sponsor of this prize in the memory of their classmate. It is awarded to the EMBA graduate, selected by fellow students, who best exemplifies the qualities of leadership and citizenship towards classmates and the EMBA program.

The Brick-Whitcomb Award
Established by John Longo and David Whitcomb, this award recognizes the M.B.A. student who completes the best stock report for the course "Advanced Portfolio Management."

The Center for Supply Chain Management Leadership Award
This award is given to the student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and achievement in supply chain management.


The Rutgers Executive M.A., Dean Lei Lei, Achievement Award
The EMBA Class of 1984 is the sponsor of this prize. It is awarded annually to the EMBA graduate with the highest academic achievement in the EMBA program, in honor of the dean and her many achievements.

The Ted Marousas Award
This award is given by the director of the Rutgers Executive M.B.A. program to the students who have done the most to increase the size of the footprint of the Rutgers EMBA program in the New Jersey business community.

The Touche Ross, A.H. and H.S. Puder Memorial Fund Academic Award
This award derives from the income of an endowment fund established in memory of A.H. and H.S. Puder by their associates. The award recognizes two graduates with the highest academic achievement in the professional accounting program.
