Finance

Course and credit requirements have changed for current part-time M.B.A. students (enrolled prior to fall 2017) who have opted to switch to the new 54-credit curriculum. Please visit this page for a full breakdown of adjusted curriculum requirements for the 54-credit part-time M.B.A.

A Rutgers M.B.A. concentration in finance is designed to provide students with competence in a broad set of skills, preparing them to move into executive positions in such financial service industries as banking, hedge funds, and insurance, and to hold corporate finance positions at consumer, health care, and a variety of other types of companies.

Geographically situated at the center of global business close to the many financial institutions in New Jersey, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., Rutgers Business School has direct access to the top executives leading the world's largest banks and financial institutions who serve as guest speakers and hire Rutgers graduates. Finance focuses on all aspects of money management, such as investment, collection, disbursement, borrowing, and fundraising. Finance graduates prepare financial reports needed to conduct operations and to satisfy tax and regulatory requirements. Graduates also oversee the flow of cash and investments, and develop information to assess the present and future financial status of an organization.

Rutgers provides excellent job opportunities with the best corporations in the northeast to those students graduating with an M.B.A. in finance.
