The following career services are available to M.B.A. students through the M.B.A. Office of Career Management (OCM). Please click here if you would like to compare the various M.B.A. programs at Rutgers Business School.Career Coaching
To give you a competitive edge, OCM provides one-on-one career
coaching in all aspects of the career management process:
self-assessment, market assessment, job search skills and tools, and
negotiation strategies.
Self-Assessment
Upon entering an M.B.A. program, over 80% of students nationwide do not
have a clear idea of what career path they want to pursue. OCM offers a
self-assessment tool to help students identify their career interests,
values, and skills.
Résumé and Cover Letter Reviews
OCM helps students shape their résumés and cover letters into effective M.B.A. job search tools.
Mock Interviews
A mock interview provides an excellent dress rehearsal for the real thing. Mock interviews may be videotaped.
Résumé Books
To help market Rutgers students, the OCM generates Résumé Books for employer--organized by specialization and graduation year--to identify appropriate candidates for full-time and summer internship opportunities.
Résumé Referral
At the request of employers, the OCM will forward résumés of those
students who meet the employer's stated qualifications for full-time
positions or summer internships.
Job Postings
Employers post job descriptions on Symplicity primarily for full-time
opportunities and summer internships to target our M.B.A. students by
graduation Class. M.B.A. students must meet the requirements and apply with
an approved resume and cover letter.On-Campus Recruiting Program
Beyond posting job opportunities, OCM conducts the On-Campus Recruiting Program--consisting
of corporate presentations, on-campus interviews, and meet and greets--so that M.B.A. students may compete for formal recruitment programs
for full-time jobs (Flex and Traditional Full Time) and summer
internships (Traditional Full Time ONLY).
