The Rutgers executive M.B.A. program focuses primarily on the "real-world" aspects of business management and is designed for individuals with at least 10 years of employment.

The 20-month program is comprised of four semesters with courses conducted from early September through May. Classes are held on alternating Fridays and Saturdays. Each semester commences with a week in residence at the North Maple Inn in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. A two-week summer seminar course in China (Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin) allows participants to visit companies such as Boeing, Sanofi-Aventis, and Liz Claiborne, as well as to attend seminars presented by leading U.S. and Chinese trade officials. Students also study global supply chain issues (we visit the giant port of Shanghai) and get an opportunity to network with the alumni from our China-based EMBA programs in Beijing and Shanghai.

The constant and unrelenting emphasis on the applicability and the relevancy of the curriculum has resulted in the Rutgers EMBA program being ranked #5 in Strategy and #6 in Finance (in the world) by BusinessWeek in 2005.
