The School of Law - Newark 2010-2012 The Law Program Curriculum Professional Responsibility

Professional Responsibility

The law school offers two courses in legal ethics and professionalism: "Professional Responsibility" and "Legal Profession". Successful completion of one of these courses is required.

For admission to the New Jersey Bar, students need not take the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE) if they receive a grade of C or better in the course in professional responsibility or the course in legal profession. However, admission to any other bar, whether alone or in combination with admission to the New Jersey Bar, requires passage of the MPRE.
