By February 2007, 209 of the 216 members of the Class of 2006
reported their employment status to the Office of Career Services. Of
those graduates reporting their status and seeking employment,
approximately 98 percent (204 out of 209) were employed. Those working
reported their jobs as follows:
45.1% in private practice
28.4% in judicial clerkships
13.7% in business or industry
3.4% in public interest law
5.4% in government service
2.0% in academia
2.0% in the military

Geographic Distribution
Approximately 93 percent of the 2006 graduates are located in New
Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The remaining 7 percent are located
in California; Washington, D.C.; Florida; Massachusetts; Virginia; Texas; Illinois; Maryland; France; and Japan.
Starting Salaries
From the Class of 2006, within the four major job categories, starting salaries vary widely:
Private practice $35,000 to $150,000
Government $35,000 to $60,000
Business $50,000 to $192,000
Public interest $37,000 to $80,000
Recruiting at the Law School, 2006-2007
Approximately 100 legal employers scheduled on-campus interviews or requested packets of students' résumés during the 2006 fall recruiting season. Job requests received and posted by June 2007 totaled 1,356.
