Registration consists of the following steps:

• Course selection with the aid of faculty advisement or the schools' advising office staff.
• Course offerings can be found online: http://sis.rutgers.edu/soc/#home
• Entry of the selected courses via Rutgers web registration system (WebReg): https://webreg.rutgers.edu by students with system access, or the assistance of the registrar's office.
• Completion of RUHere confirmation of attendance process when attempting to access any online system that requires login with their Rutgers NetID. Failing to participate will result in classes and financial aid being cancelled.
• Payment of the term bill (tuition and fees) for the approved program via https://finservices.rutgers.edu/otb/.

All students, by virtue of registering, agree to comply with the regulations of the university.

Students attempting to register after the ninth calendar day of the semester must contact the Office of the Dean to seek permission to register. Students who have registered can make necessary adjustments to their schedules via WebReg through the ninth calendar day of the semester. Students seeking course advising should contact their Graduate Program Director for additional information.

A student admitted into a degree program of the Graduate School-Newark is expected to maintain continuous registration in every fall and spring semester thereafter until completing the program and earning the degree. Normally a student registers for courses or research credits (up to the number of credits required for the degree); continuing students who have completed all required coursework and research credits must seek permission from the Office of the Dean to register for matriculation continued.
