At Rutgers University–Newark, graduate programs are offered by the Graduate School–Newark, Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs-Newark and New Brunswick, Rutgers Law School, the School of Criminal Justice, and the School of Public Affairs and Administration.

Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences programs are offered in Newark and other locations in the state by the Graduate School of Biomedical Science, Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, the School of Health Professions, the School of Public Health, Rutgers School of Nursing , New Jersey Medical School, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy.

At Rutgers University–New Brunswick, programs are offered by the Graduate School-New Brunswick, the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, the Graduate School of Education, Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs-Newark and New Brunswick, the School of Communication and Information, Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, the School of Management and Labor Relations, and Mason Gross School of the Arts.

At Rutgers University–Camden, programs are offered by the Graduate School-Camden, Rutgers Law School, the School of Nursing-Camden, and the School of Business-Camden.

The School of Social Work offers graduate and professional degree programs and holds classes at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, Rutgers University–Newark, and Rutgers University–Camden.
