First-Year Program


First Semester

26:112:509 Statistics in Neuroscience (3) Offered by the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience, this is a one-semester core course. In addition to the required course, an advanced 3-credit course will be offered.
26:112:565 Foundations of Neuroscience I (4) This core course integrates current molecular, behavioral, cognitive, and clinical neuroscience. It is taken in the first two semesters.
26:112:627 Colloquium in Neuroscience I (1) This is a mandatory seminar program for first- and second-year students. It includes student presentations and provides analyses of current research by visiting guests and seminar presenters. This course is also open to more advanced students.

26:112:628 Colloquium in Neuroscience II (1) Continuation of the first semester.
26:112:651 Critical Thinking in Neuroscience (2) Intensive presentation, discussion, and written critiques on important neuroscience research papers.
