A minimum of 30 credits is required for the degree, excluding
bridge courses. The graduate curriculum consists of core courses, a
research project or the equivalent, and electives.
Core Courses
1. Biol 602 Current Trends in Computational Biology
2. CIS 505 Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms
3. CIS 610 Data Structures and Algorithms
4. CIS 631 Data Management System Design
5. R120:502 or Math 637 Foundations of Mathematical Biology
6. R120:701,702 or Biol 700 Master's Thesis or Project. The
research project course involves a master's thesis or an equivalent
project/course of study for a total of 6 credits. The prerequisite is
matriculation for a master's degree and departmental approval.
