Advanced Placement

High school seniors who have taken advanced courses may take the College Board Advanced Placement Examinations administered by the College Board. Advanced placement and/or degree credit is awarded for scores of 4 or 5.

The Rutgers University Placement Test is designed to help the admitted student by assessing his or her individual skills in language and mathematics. Placement test results provide information about course placement. Students with verbal SATs of 600 or higher are exempt from taking the English placement test and place automatically into English Composition or Expository Writing (355:101).
