Health Administration - School of Arts and Sciences Students

The health administration major prepares students for entry-level positions leading to an administrative career path in the healthcare sector.
Students learn to address administrative and managerial problems in health systems, hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare delivery settings.Students learn about the financial, quality, and patient satisfaction issues in healthcare today. They learn about the policy, laws, and regulations regarding institutional management and for example, human resources.They also learn about the ethical context in which administrative decisions are made in the healthcare field.

Students in the School of Arts and Sciences who wish to pursue the health administration major must apply for admission to the Bloustein School. Applicants must have achieved a minimum grade of C or better in each of the prerequisite courses and be in good academic standing. Applications may be obtained from the school at https://bloustein.rutgers.edu.
