Graduates of the undergraduate entomology major will:
- have a broad understanding of the ecology,
systematics, anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry of insects;
- have a broad understanding of the impact of
insects on society including agriculture and pest management, toxicology,
disease transmission, decomposition, and forensics;
- be able to design, carry out, and interpret
experiments in insect biology;
- be able to communicate disciplinary
knowledge, both to peers and the lay public; and
- understand the ethical principles and practice in professional fields.
