Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Four-Year Curriculum Code 650

The mechanical engineering curriculum includes three options: mechanical, aerospace, and energy. The degree awarded upon completion of any of these options is the B.S. in mechanical engineering which is professionally accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

**Aerospace option courses to be selected from 14:650:447, 458, 459, 460, 463, 465. Energy option courses are 14:650:461, 462, and 474. Mechanical engineering  department electives are any 400-level mechanical engineering (650) course and 650:361 Introduction to Mechatronics. Mechanical option may select any three department electives. Mechanical engineering department or option electives may be taken in the second semester of the junior year if prerequisites have been completed.
