Four-Year Undergraduate Programs

Students who wish to pursue four-year engineering curricula normally take the entire program in the School of Engineering at Rutgers University–New Brunswick. In the four-year programs, the first year is common to all curricula. At the end of the first year, the student selects a curriculum in which to specialize. Guidance in selecting a curriculum is provided principally through the introductory engineering course. Departmental advisers also are available. For program details, see Four-Year Engineering Curricula in this chapter.

It is possible for students to take the first one or two years (depending on the major) of the four-year B.S. program at Rutgers University–Camden or Rutgers University–Newark. Students can apply for a School-to-School transfer to the School of Engineering in New Brunswick after one or two years of study at Rutgers-Camden or Rutgers-Newark.  Some curricula may require attendance at Rutgers Summer Session or an extra year of study at Rutgers-New Brunswick in order to complete degree requirements.
