A student who transfers from another institution may receive degree credit toward SCILS majors only for those courses that are equivalent in content and credit to courses in the curriculum of the relevant major. Departments may set a limit on the total number of transfer courses that will count toward the major at Rutgers. In order to count towards the major, transfer courses, like Rutgers courses, must be completed with a grade of C or better. Transfer credit from another institution is not included in the student's cumulative grade-point average at Rutgers. Students are urged to contact the SCILS Student Services office to have specific courses evaluated for credit toward the major.
