Teaching Assistant Project (TAP)

The Teaching Assistant Project (TAP) is designed to promote excellence in undergraduate and graduate education at Rutgers University-New Brunswick through the professional development of teaching assistants. TAP recognizes the dual role of TAs in the university and seeks to assist them in teaching on the college level while balancing their responsibilities as graduate students. The fundamental components of this project are an orientation for all new TAs, sponsorship of several College Teaching 186 courses, presentation of certificate programs and special issues seminars, discipline-specific training within each program, and materials designed for TAs (available at http://tap.rutgers.edu). Questions about TAP should be directed to the Office of the Dean at the Graduate School-New Brunswick at 848-932-7747 or tapweb@grad.rutgers.edu
