All applicants to the Mason Gross School of the Arts must submit a
formal application and fee through Rutgers University. In addition to the
university application and fee, all students applying to the theater department
at Mason Gross School of the Arts must complete an evaluation of talent
(audition or interview). A nonrefundable audition and/or interview fee
(in addition to the university's standard application fee) is required prior to
the time of the audition or interview. For more information about theater

an undergraduate degree in theater may be required to take additional
coursework. Transfer credit is not accepted for any graduate level theater
course that fulfills the requirements of the degree.
A TOEFL (Test of
English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing
System) test score is required if your undergraduate education was completed in
a non-English speaking country. Please see the Mason Gross website for required
