Admission to the Mason Gross School of the Arts is highly competitive.
The school accepts individuals who have earned a bachelor's degree from
an approved institution and who provide evidence that they have the
ability to successfully complete a graduate program. Admissions
decisions are based on a combination of factors, including the
applicant's previous academic performance, experience, and achievement;
recommendations; a portfolio or audition; the potential to succeed as a
professional artist; and other criteria. Additionally, the number of
students who can be accommodated in some programs is limited.
Because admission requirements vary among the programs, applicants
should carefully review the information and instructions provided in
this catalog and in the application available online from
Graduate Admissions.
