In the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP), the following grades are used:

A  Outstanding

B+  Intermediate grade

B  Good

C  Less than the GSAPP requirement; credits not counted toward degree requirements.*

S/U  Satisfactory or unsatisfactory. Used for official audits, internship (clinical program), or dissertation credits.

P/NC  Pass or no credit. Used for E credit courses (supervision, practicum placements, fieldwork, and internship [school program]).

W  Withdrawn without evaluation. Used when a student officially drops a course or withdraws after the second week of classes.

IN  Incomplete. The requirements for all courses and their time parameters are clearly delineated in each course. Unless a student has given the instructor an Incomplete Request Form and it has been accepted by the instructor, the student receives a grade of F if the requirements have not been completed. All work is to be completed no later than May 1 for the fall semester or December 1 for the spring semester or for courses taken during Summer Session.

F  Failing

*While "satisfactory" is the official university definition, the GSAPP Faculty Council voted on May 2, 1988, that a course that is graded C may not be counted toward meeting the required number of credits for graduation.
