The Jewish Student Alliance (JSA) is one of the COD groups at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP)
where individuals can learn more about Judaism, celebrate their
heritage and culture, and explore different meanings that Judaism has
for individuals. In addition, JSA promotes exchanges between Jewish
individuals and other ethnic and racial groups. The rich and diverse
population of GSAPP allows students from a wide range of racial and
ethnic backgrounds to grow together and develop a strong multicultural
competence. JSA also encourages individuals to develop connections
and utilize Judaism with various psychology principals and practices and provides opportunities to appreciate the culture in the context of professional growth. JSA events include
general meetings, luncheons, holiday celebrations, baking, craft
activities, guest speakers, peer presentations, discussions, storytelling, as well as off-campus events such as Shabbat dinners, holiday
celebrations, and more.
