Students who are obliged to interrupt their studies may, with the approval of their graduate program director and Office of Student and Academic Services, register for matriculation continued (leave of absence). There is no tuition fee for this registration although a small student fee is charged. This category of registration is available only to students not present on campus and not using faculty time and university research facilities. All graduate students who are on campus and engaged in the completion of degree requirements must register for at least one (1) credit per semester. Late registration for matriculation continued is not allowed beyond the second week of the semester. After this time, the student is required to apply for reinstatement and, depending on degree status, may be subject to a restorative fee. Students wishing to drop all courses and add matriculation continued must do so prior to the first day of the semester.
