The master of public health (M.P.H.) degree provides students with a clear understanding of the roles of the core disciplines in public health. Graduate study in public health is offered through Rutgers School of Public Health. Faculty from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy have been central in developing the graduate program and maintain a strong interest in the program through teaching and research.

In partnership with Rutgers University-New Brunswick, the Rutgers School of Public Health offers highly-qualified undergraduate students the opportunity to begin graduate study during their undergraduate years, thereby accelerating the M.P.H. degree by requiring approximately three-to-five additional semesters beyond the bachelor's degree. This is not a concurrent degree program. Students earn their bachelor's degree first and then the M.P.H.

The bachelor's/master's program is open to all undergraduate majors attending Rutgers University-New Brunswick.

Exceptional, well-prepared students from any major with at least 60 credits and a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better, and who wish to pursue graduate studies at the Rutgers School of Public Health are encouraged to seek advising about the Accelerated (B.A./M.P.H. or B.S./M.P.H.) program.
