Health Administration Degree Options
Master of Health Administration -- traditional degree program

Rutgers' master of health administration (M.H.A.) degree program is tailored for students who have completed a bachelor's degree and who work or plan to work in the health care industry. The M.H.A. is also suitable for those seeking to make a career change or the health practice professional moving into a management position.

Participants complete the 45-credit program at their own pace, full or part time. Classes are conveniently scheduled in the evenings on weekdays, Saturdays, hybrid, or online during each of the fall, spring, and summer semesters.

*501:501 and 501:520 must be taken in the first semester in which students are enrolled in the program. **Professional Internship Practicum may be portfolio-based or experiential, depending upon the student's experience and accomplishments.

The 6 credits of electives, chosen from a broad range of courses, allows the program to provide a degree of customization for each student's interest and need while doing so within accreditation requirements.
