Student Advising

Each student entering the program is assigned an academic adviser based on substantive interests. After the first semester, each student may select his or her academic adviser from among members and associate members of the Bloustein School graduate faculty, upon mutual agreement. Students are strongly encouraged to meet regularly with their academic adviser to obtain guidance on course selection and other matters facilitating the student's progress in the program. In addition, students meet periodically with the director of the doctoral program, who may recommend additional coursework or other suggestions for program completion.
