The master of public affairs and politics (M.P.A.P.) is a 30-credit program designed for students with significant work experience in public affairs and politics (minimum of five years) or a previous or concurrent graduate degree. Students are expected to complete a required core of 12 credits in policy, research methods, economics, and analysis. Students complete the remaining 18 credits with electives. Students may pursue the M.P.A.P. program on either a full- or part-time basis. With permission from the program director, individuals may enroll in up to 12 credits of course work as nondegree students before formally applying to the program. With permission, these credits may count toward the 30-credit total for the degree.
