The Rutgers–Camden Summer Session offers over 300 day and evening courses through the cooperation of the Camden College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business–Camden, University College–Camden, the School of Nursing–Camden, and School of Social Work. The Summer Session consists of three semesters, which run from Memorial Day to mid-August.
With comparatively small class sizes, the Summer Session offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate courses suited to many majors and interest areas. Usually courses are offered in four-week sessions in early morning, late morning, afternoon, and evening sections. In order to accommodate some laboratory sciences and studio courses, longer and shorter course formats are scheduled. Please pay careful attention to the particular course description in the summer schedule, available online or in hard copy from the Summer Session office.
Students from Rutgers–Camden and over 100 other colleges and universities enroll in the program. In addition to the regular collegiate offerings, the campus hosts the annual Summer Writers' Conference and special workshops and programs.
Students may register for the Summer Session from March until the desired course begins. For further details, consult the Summer Session website at http://summer.camden.rutgers.edu.
This office also provides administrative and academic support for the Winterim, an accelerated session held between the fall and spring semesters at Camden. Similar to the Summer Session, continuing and visiting students may choose from approximately 75 regular courses offered during their winter break. Details and information can be obtained from the Winterim website at http://winterim.camden.rutgers.edu.
