Course/Grade Documentation

Unofficial Grade Reporting. Immediate access to grade information is available to all students via the registrar's website http://registrar.rutgers.edu. Students requiring written documentation of the semester academic record also may obtain an unofficial copy of the semester academic record through the registrar's website. The current semester's grades are usually available three or four days after the final exam, following submission by the instructor and computer entry by the university. Semester and cumulative grade-point averages are calculated after a semester's faculty grade-reporting deadline has passed.

Official Transcripts. Students may request an official transcript. The first two transcripts requested per academic year are free of charge, and can be obtained via the registrar's website at: http://transcripts.rutgers.edu/transcripts/index.html.

All transcripts include the student's academic record to date, including courses failed, but may be ordered to show only courses taken while admitted as an undergraduate, only courses taken while admitted as a graduate student, or the complete undergraduate and graduate records.

In addition to ordering transcripts via the web, students may download the Transcript Request Form on the registrar's website at: http://transcripts.rutgers.edu/transcripts/index.html, under Alum/Former Students. Transcript Request Forms should be addressed to: Transcripts, Office of the Registrar, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, 311 North Fifth Street, Camden, NJ  08102-1405. Please remember to include the student's full name while enrolled, identification number, dates of attendance, school(s) attended, degree(s) awarded and dates(s), name and address of the recipient, and student's signature. Faxed requests may be sent to 856-225-6453. Receipt of the fax should be confirmed by calling 856-225-6053.

Transcript requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and may require five working days for preparation and release. "Instant" official transcripts cannot be issued.
