The mission of University College-Camden remains what it has been since the college was founded in 1934: to provide programs of study leading to undergraduate degrees that primarily are geared to the needs of adult, part-time students. The college strives to make an undergraduate education of high quality available to students who only can attend evening classes because of their other responsibilities.

The curricula of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences-Camden and the School of Business-Camden are built on a solid foundation in liberal arts and sciences. Half of all credits earned toward a baccalaureate degree are devoted to study in the humanities, social sciences, and mathematical and natural sciences. The Faculty of Arts and Sciences-Camden offers six major programs in the evening leading to the bachelor of arts degree. They are computer science, English, history, liberal studies, political science, and psychology. The School of Business-Camden also offers evening majors in accounting, finance, management, and marketing that lead to a bachelor of science degree.
