Due Process

Students are entitled to fairness in the way their academic performances are assessed. Each graduate program is responsible for articulating to its constituents how a student's academic progress is evaluated. Each program also has a procedure in place for academic appeals. The Graduate School-Camden provides further opportunity for appeal for students who wish to proceed beyond the program level (see the Student Academic Appeals section). All students in the Graduate School-Camden are entitled to expect that program examinations will be evaluated in a timely manner. If a student fails a comprehensive, qualifying, or final (defense) examination, he or she is entitled to an explanation of the reasons for that decision.
