The school offers an advanced standing master of social work (M.S.W.) program for students who have earned a baccalaureate degree in social work from an undergraduate social work program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or the Canadian Association of Social Work. Advanced standing students may complete the program in one year. Advanced standing students must have completed an introductory statistics course covering descriptive and basic inferential statistical procedures.
Students who are admitted as advanced standing students enter in the summer semester and are required to successfully complete coursework and a field education placement. In the fall semester, they are considered second-year students in the advanced program and are required to take the course of study associated with their concentration.
Advanced standing M.S.W. students are required to complete the M.S.W. program within two years of matriculation.
