Candidates for the doctor of physical therapy (D.P.T.) degree must satisfy the requirements of the Graduate School-Camden and the School of Health Professions. The program is an entry-level physical therapy program designed to prepare health professionals who will function competently and creatively as members of a team of health professionals in a dynamic health care environment. The primary mission of the program is to educate students to become generalist physical therapists prepared to advance toward autonomous practice and committed to humanistic principles through education, scholarship, community service, and clinical practice. Candidates must complete a minimum of 110 credits of successful graduate study including off-campus clinical experiences, a comprehensive examination, and an applied research group project. Graduates must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average and earn no more than 2 grades of C+ in the curriculum. Grades below C+ are not acceptable.
