Using Online Technology in Educational Settings

Using online technology in educational settings is a certificate program offered entirely online and designed for librarians, teachers, and other K-16 professionals who want to explore the use of online technology in their classrooms and media centers. The five courses in the program include:
  • Creating and Managing Educational Web Sites
  • Online Information Resources for Learning and Teaching
  • Legal and Ethical Issues in Online Learning and Teaching
  • Online Technology Tools for Educators
  • Current Issues and Research in Educational Technology
You may take these courses individually without pursuing a certificate if you meet our admissions requirements.

You may enroll in our online technology courses if you hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or its equivalent from a foreign college. To earn graduate credit for these classes, you must apply and be admitted to Rutgers as a nondegree graduate student.
