Writing-Intensive Courses


Rutgers University-Newark College of Arts and Sciences requires completion of two writing-intensive (WI) courses, including one course within the department of the major. Any course designated as writing intensive (will have a "Q" as part of the section in WebReg) can be used to fulfill both the WI requirement and a category requirement for the bachelor of arts or bachelor of science biology major at the same time. The writing-intensive courses available in the Department of Biological Sciences change from semester to semester, so please check with the department or online course schedule to verify the currently offered writing-intensive classes.
