Entry Requirements


Entry Requirements to Urban Teacher Education Program (UTEP):

  1. A declared major from one of the following: biology, chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, English, geology, mathematics, history, political science, physics, Portuguese, or Spanish
  2. A minimum of a B in each of the two English composition courses (101 and 102)
  3. A minimum of a B in all Cluster I courses. (While in Social Foundations of Urban Education [21:300:292] students apply to UTEP.)
  4. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and minimum 3.0 GPA in declared major
  5. Passing score on a Basic Skills Test (ETS: PRAXIS CORE)
