s designed for adult learners as a part-time college. To be considered a full-time student, an individual must carry a minimum of 12 credits per semester. Students may not carry more than 12 credits per semester without written permission:

For the Rutgers Business School, from the Undergraduate Program Dean's Office

For the College of Nursing, from the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs

For the School of Criminal Justice, from the Office of Student and Academic Affairs
Credit overloads are intended for exceptional students. As a rule,
a student must meet all of the following standards for consideration for a credit overload:

Cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher

English 101 and 102 completed
-
Math proficiency completed
-
Major declared with an academic department
-
Successful completion of 24 Rutgers–Newark credits
