Honors Program

The College of Nursing Honors Program is a program aimed at enhancing the exceptional student's opportunities in professional nursing, research, and the development of scholarship in nursing.  The overall goal of the program is to enhance the development of the individual student's critical and analytical abilities in solving the complex issues and ideas, and using scientific databases in the health care field as it relates to nursing.                                                                            

Students' educational experiences in the Honors Program allow for increased professional growth, personal satisfaction and achievement, and a stimulating academic experience.  Participation in the Honors Program has a variety of advantages for students, future employers, and for society.  Students in the Honors Program enjoy close interaction with distinguished faculty members, seminars, independent study, and off-campus opportunities.

Sophomore and junior students with a 3.7 GPA or who are in the top 10% of their class are formally invited to participate in the Honors Program.
