Program Goals


The following doctorate of nursing practice program goals are designed to convey the mission and key goals of the School of Nursing.

Clinical Track

  • Integrate scientific knowledge in the expansion of clinical expertise in an advanced nursing specialty.
  • Lead and evaluate care delivery approaches to improve health care quality and population outcomes.
  • Synthesize, translate, and disseminate best practices.

Leadership Track

  • Integrate evidence-based leadership to influence systems thinking and health care delivery.
  • Transform health care systems to create healthy, high-performing, humanistic work environments.
  • Lead and influence policy, health care quality, and safety initiatives at individual, community, system, and population levels.
