Curriculum and Learning Outcomes



Course content is directly related to the task list and knowledge/content areas required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Course syllabi have been reviewed and approved by the BACB and given the status of Approved Course Sequence.

Required credits: 18

The applied behavior analysis classes are taught in a six-course sequence and are approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as meeting the academic requirements necessary for sitting for the certification exam. Learning Outcomes

The courses are designed to provide students with the necessary coursework requirements of the BACB. Students will acquire knowledge in the following essential content areas:

  • Ethical and professional conduct
  • Research methods in behavior analysis
    • Measurement
    • Data analysis
    • Experimental design
  • Clinical applications of behavior analysis
    • Identification of the problem and assessment
    • Fundamentals of behavior change and specific behavior change procedures
    • Intervention and behavior change considerations
    • Behavior change systems
    • Implementation management and supervision
