Division of Continuing Studies

The Division of Continuing Studies (DoCS) is the sole university-wide unit at Rutgers dedicated to promoting lifelong learning and distance education. DoCS coordinates the activities of more than 70 continuing education (CE) units and provides distance learning support to faculty, staff, and lifelong learners from all university locations and online delivery modes. CE units at Rutgers deliver more than 7,700 programs annually that reach over 110,000 learners of all ages. Rutgers lifelong learning offerings range from preschool reading programs and pre-college summer camps to intensive professional development certificates and enrichment classes for retirees.
