The School of Communication, Information and Library Studies leads the university in responding to the information revolution and the fast-paced changes occurring in the fields of communication, journalism and mass media, and library and information science. The school's Ph.D. program offers concentrations in information systems and structures, communication processes, information policy and management, and library studies. SCILS offers a master of library and information science (M.L.I.S.) degree and a master of communication and information studies (M.C.I.S.) degree, undergraduate programs in communication, as well as in journalism and media studies.
