
Mason Gross School of the Arts offers studio-
and performance-based instruction by renowned working artists
and master teachers. Mason Gross's location within a larger
public research university offers students access to unparalleled
academic opportunities that create the humanistic cross-references
and connections necessary to enrich and deepen artistic practice.
Professional programs offered are the bachelor of fine arts
in dance, theater arts, or visual arts; the bachelor of music;
the master of fine arts in theater arts or visual arts; the
doctor of musical arts; and the artist diploma in music. In
addition, the Department of Music, under the aegis of the
graduate school, offers the M.A. and Ph.D. in composition,
theory, and musicology.
