Social Entrepreneurship


The three-course (nine-credit) Social Entrepreneurship Certificate program offered jointly by Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) and Rutgers Business School (RBS) is designed to give students the fundamental background to address some of the world's most intractable social and ecological problems. This certificate prepares the leaders of today and tomorrow to start for-profit or nonprofit enterprises to develop, fund, and implement solutions to a wide range of social, cultural, or environmental issues and lead broader social changes in areas such as poverty alleviation, health care, and community development. Students in this three-course certificate program must take the following two RBS courses: Introduction to Corporate Social Innovation (3) (Flyer) Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation (3) And choose one of the following two SPAA courses: Grant Writing and Grants Management (3) Intergovernmental and Intersectoral Management (3)
