Student Responsibility to Keep Informed
Students are responsible for keeping informed of current academic policies, procedures, and changes that appear in these publications as well as official announcements provided from a variety of media.

In addition, essential information about current procedures is provided in the Schedule of Classes, posted on school websites, and sent to Rutgers email addresses. Each student has a Rutgers email address, which serves as the official channel for communication between the university and the student.

Students are expected to be aware that the curricular requirements are those in effect in the academic year of their admission. Students who withdraw for two or more semesters are subject to the requirements in effect during the semester in which they return. Students who change their major are governed by the curricular requirements and regulations in effect during the academic year in which the change is made.
