Examinations

Final examinations are held at the end of each semester. All students enrolled for credit in a course in which a final examination is given must take the examination. During the semester, unannounced and announced tests may be held at the discretion of the instructor. Students who miss an examination because of participation in university-sanctioned activities or because of required religious observance either do not have the examination included in the final grade calculation or are given an opportunity to make up the examination without penalty at the discretion of the instructor or department. Students must inform the instructor of the situation prior to the examination. Students missing examinations for medical reasons or other extenuating circumstances must provide written documentation to verify the absence.
